Paradise Cooks-up Chocolate Cuisine Challenge!!
  CALL FOR CONTESTANTS

Join the fun and festivities of the Paradise Chocolate Fest as a participant in the Chocolate Cuisine Challenge!

Applications are now available for the 2010 Chocolate Cuisine Challenge, a special event of the Paradise Chocolate Fest, to be held on Saturday, May 8th at Terry Ashe Park on the Skyway in Paradise. The Chocolate Cuisine Challenge is open to Amateur Chocolate creations only. (please, no beverages) The Chocolate Cuisine Challenge entries are limited to the first fifteen completed entry forms, so don’t delay. The Chocolate Cuisine Challenge entry fee is $15.00. Proceeds from this special event will benefit non-profit youth organizations on the Paradise Ridge.

Ribbons will be awarded for three categories; Grand Prize and 2nd and 3rd place, Best Presentation, and Most Unique Use of Chocolate, with a trophy presented to the Grand Prize Winner.

As an added “treat” all recipes submitted to this year’s Chocolate Cuisine Challenge will be made available to visitors to Chocolate Candy Land during the Fest. All prize winning recipes will be posted on the Paradise Chocolate Fest web-site.

Chocolate Cuisine Challenge entry forms are available at Coco Amatrice, Darlene’s Fine Chocolates & Ice Cream and Joy Lyn’s Candies, all in Paradise.

The deadline for entries is May 1st, or when the first fifteen completed entry forms are received.

The Paradise Chocolate Fest is the place to indulge your love of all things chocolate! Throughout the day there will be a Chocolate Chase Fun Run/Walk, a chocolate pancake breakfast, chocolate pie and ice cream sundae eating contests, and a cookie stacking competition. The Fest will also feature Chocolate Candy Land, Chocolate Pavilion and Lollipop Ice Cream Shoppe where there will be a chocolate fountain, chocolate booths and yummy confections for sale.

Terry Ashe Park will be filled with fine art and crafts booths, children’s games, musical entertainment, and a wide range of food selections. This is sure to be a day filled with sweet treats and lots of fun for the whole family!
